SUPERB Heater Cartridge heater is cylindrical electrical heating elements. Protected with a seamless stainless steel sheath, their watt density can reach 63W/cm² and their operating temperature can go up to 1000°C (1832°F).

Mostly cartridge heater is used for heating up solids such as injection presses heating plates or various tools, cartridge heater can also beused for heating up water of gases under certain conditions. Widely used for manufacturing plastic and rubber parts in the car industry or in the food processing industry, etc .

1) The heating part of the core of the Superb Heater cartridge heater is a nickel-chromium heat-resistant alloy wire, which is wound on a magnesium oxide core rod with excellent insulation and thermal conductivity. The heating wire and the shell are filled with magnesium oxide powder as an insulating material, and the air inside is compressed by the machine to make it into a whole.

2) After the main body of the cartridge heater  is completed, the fixing piece or thread can be installed according to the installation needs. Minimize the gap between the cartridge heater and the mounting hole. When machining the mounting hole, it is recommended that the gap on one side be less than 0.05mm.

What is the difference between terminal type and inner lead?
From the figure above, we can clearly see the difference between the terminal type and the inner lead structure.
1) The terminal type is the lead rod and the lead wire are connected outside the cartridge heater through the crimping terminal. 
2) The inner lead is the lead wire is directly connected from the inside of the cartridge heater.
The terminal type usually uses the glass fiber sleeve to wrap the wiring, 1. to increase the insulation protection, 2. to protect this part of the lead to avoid excessive bending.


----------------------Where is the cartridge heater will be use?--------------------------

Because of the small volume and large power of the cartridge heater, it is especially suitable for the heating of metal molds. It is usually used with thermocouple to achieve good heating and temperature control effect.

1) Note: Customize the hole depth of the mold according to the length of the heating part of the cartridge heater
---If the hole is too shallow, the heating part of the cartridge heater will be exposed after installation, and there is without good heat dissipation environment, which will damage the cartridge heater and and even may cause fire and other accidents.

---If the hole is too deep, the sealing and wire part of the cartridge heater after installation will fall into a more severe use environment. Long-term use may lead to short circuit between electrodes and other problems.

2) Note: The heating tube should be protected from moisture. It is recommended to start with a low voltage during initial use.
---The cartridge heater should be moisture-proof, and it is recommended to use lower voltage for initial use.

When the superb heater cartridge heater is stored and used in a high humidity environment, the insulation resistance will decrease. but after the cartridge heater is powered on, the moisture will evaporate, and the insulation performance will gradually recover. It is recommended to start the cartridge heater with lower voltage.
