This fill tooling should be selected to provide the best possible centering of the coil in your elements while at the same time allowing for the maximum MgO flow to provide the best possible MgO density. If you are not satisfied with the results obtained on your filling machine and would like us to re-evaluate the tooling which you are using, then we would require the following information from you:
·The element outer diameter and wall thickness
·The minimum and maximum coil outer diameters used in the element and also the terminal pin diameter
·The terminal pin knob diameter
·The maximum element length of your machine
The drawing at the right shows the 6 critical dimensions for all centralizer nozzles. Proper selection of these dimensions will insure good coil centralization in your elements, provide the best possible MgO flow rate,and will also guarantee that these nozzles will fit onto your existing fill tubes. If you wish to purchase nozzles from us,please supply these 6 dimensions for each size nozzle that you require.
D1 represents the diameter of the hole in the tip or nozzle. This musu have suffcient clearance so that the largest coil or terminal pin will pass through.
D2 is the outer diameter of the tip and is normally .020"to .030"(0.5mm to 0.75mm) smaller than the nominal inner diameter of the element tubes being filled.
D3 is the diameter of the step on the tip of the nozzle on which the outer tube fits. It must be small enough to allow the outer fill tube to fit over it,but must have a sufficiently close fit so it will properly align the outer tube.
D4 is the outer diameter of the welded spiral or machined portion of the nozzle.
This is also made to suit the inner diameter of the outer tube.
D5 is the inner diameter of the expansion placed in the nozzle so the inner tube may be inserted and soldered to the nozzle.
D6 is the outer diameter of the inner fill tube.
